Shanghai Expo VIP Magazine

 

Aquaspace has been granted a license to produce an official magazine for VIP guests of the Shanghai Expo.

 

The Shanghai Expo VIP Magazine will be published between March and December 2010 and will be hand-delivered directly to the 10,000 VIP guests of the Expo.

 

A fully bilingual publication, Shanghai Expo VIP Magazine will address the hot business and environmental issues surrounding the Expo as well as bringing news of the latest Expo developments and events in the city.

Touch The Future

 

In June 2009, the Shanghai Expo Communication and Promotion Department invited Aquaspace to submit ideas for the Expo’s official “300 Day Countdown Slogan”.

 

The aim was to create an English slogan that would represent the Shanghai Expo in their international advertising efforts, and attract visitors from all over the world.

 

Aquaspace presented the Shanghai Expo with a wide range of slickly worded slogans to choose from. And after much deliberation, the Expo Propaganda Department made their final decision and selected the slogan “Touch The Future”, which was coined by Aquaspace’s Nova Xu.

 

“Everything displayed at the Expo, particularly the pavilions and the technology, will be new, unique and innovative. The Expo is all about looking to the future, which is why I thought the slogan was appropriate” explained Miss Xu. She also explained the personal reasons behind her inspiration; “as a designer I am always looking towards the future, excited about the new technology and new inspiration that it will bring.”

 

It certainly won the Expo’s approval. The slogan is already in use, displayed on billboards throughout the world, inviting people from different cultures to come to Shanghai and “Touch the Future”.

 

Translation and Polishing Services

 

It is a tribute to the strength of the relationship between Aquaspace Media Centre and the Expo Communication and Promotion Department that the Aquaspace team has on several occasions been given the responsibility to translate and polish important documents for the Expo. Some of the key projects have included the English version of the brochure containing key information about the Expo, and the speech for the ceremony announcing the launch of Shanghai Expo Online.

 

We look forward to the continued co-operation between our two departments in the run up to and during the Expo in 2010.
